About Michaela

Michaela Minock is a dancer, actor, and educator in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She currently dances with the Zone program at Zenon Dance School and is a member of the Murder Mystery Company, for which she was named Actor of the Month for October 2025. She is a tenured dance teacher at a public elementary school in North Minneapolis, teaching dance to students from preschool to fifth grade. She holds a Master's of Education degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a Tier 4 teaching license from the state of Minnesota. Michaela is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and has been inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. She received a B.A. in Performing Arts with a Dance Emphasis from Iowa State University, graduating summa cum laude and with honors from the University Honors Program. While there, she participated in five dance groups, performed in over 25 shows, and choreographed over a dozen works in styles including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and lyrical. Michaela’s love for teaching dance began at the age of 15 as an assistant teacher at Dance Alive! Dance Studio in Manteno, IL. She loved sharing the joy of dance with her students and watching them improve their skills, and the students inspired and energized her in her own practice. Michaela has been dancing for over 25 years and hopes to never stop!
